Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that enhances wellness by gently encouraging balance throughout the entire system: body, mind, and spirit. Commonly facilitated by light touch, Reiki can be easily learned and practiced on oneself to strengthen well-being, enhance quality of life, and relieve symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue, pain, insomnia, nausea, and indigestion. Although Reiki is historically a daily self-care practice.1 Reiki can also be received as a treatment from someone else, either a family member, a friend, or a professional.
As a “client-centric”, holistic practice with use of Reiki, I am able to elevate the vibration to a higher level so there is a greater communication and a heightened intuitiveness with the client and an ability to respond to the clients’ needs. In acute situations, even a few moments of Reiki touch can be supportive to patient and practitioner alike, making it easy to offer Reiki in even the busiest clinical environments.5 Reiki has no known contraindications.2,3 Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that can be used as an intervention; it is not primarily an intervention.4 I have over the years incorporated crystals into my sessions and program to assist in the healing.

In light, Sue
